The Loschetters, Chris and Mary, live in West Melbourne, FL and have been running this prestigious scholarship tournament for almost 14 years in Florida. Their son, Chris, is on the PBA Tour and they encourage other bowlers to pursue their dreams in bowling. The tournament has grown tremendously over the years and we average between 60-70 kids for most tournaments. The tournaments are held once a month at different centers throughout Florida. Our tournament is a scratch tournament for all youth & adult up to age 22 bowlers and all scholarships are paid into the SMART Scholarship Fund at USBC Headquarters in Texas. We offer competitive bowling for the better bowler and try to have our centers use either Sport or more difficult patterns for competition. Our bowlers bowl 8 games on Saturday and we bring back the top 12 bowlers in each division for round robin match play on Sunday. After 12 games of match play, the top 5 bowlers in each division roll off in tv style roll-off format. Scholarships are paid to the top 5 bowlers in each division. 300 games and high female bowlers get small scholarships also. The Loschetters invite you to attend one of our tournaments. Our kids enjoy the sport of bowling and enjoy making new friends and becoming more competitive in the sport. It's a great way to spend a weekend and we have the best group of kids in Florida bowling the Loschetter Tournament.
Additionally, since the inception of the Junior Gold National Tournament held each year in July, we have seen at least one bowler from Florida make this team. Our goal is to give our kids an opportunity to become the best bowlers in the Nation.
